I swear one day my husband ....

Ok ladies I think I have sent my husband over the edge! I bought this black sheep's wool from an antique/pioneer dealer and thought it would be so wonderful by my spinning wheel. However, when I pulled it out of the box my kids screamed and my husband well lets just say there was some no so good words that came out of his mouth... I don't think I have ever laughed that hard in my life.
One thing not in my favour was the farm smell that came with it. What a bunch of city slickers I live with!
I did wash it and hang it outside to dry and air out but now I just have to be patient and wait till everyone goes back to school and work to sneak it upstairs.
My husband is very easy going and doesn't say too much but this was a little much for him.
I on the other hand I will never forget my family's reaction and it should make for good conversation over Easter dinner this coming weekend.
Have a great week everyone
Love to you all
Darlene

  1. Hahaha! LOVE IT!.. Poor Hubby.. my husband has given up.. I think when I went down in the garage one day and brought up a dead dried up mouse to stick under my fly screen was the day I pushed him over the edge!!!!! It is long gone now but haven't heard a peep out of him since.. maybe this wool will do the same for you!

  2. Oh my gosh now your's takes the cake!!! My husband would throw me and the mouse out!! My husband doesn't say too much but he grew up near Toronto (Canada's largest city) and I grew up in the country. The lamb's wool is beautiful and it actually got even better when I washed it. I told him I want to have a little lamb for a pet but we will see about that one. He told me to go shave the dog and use that!! Husbands what are we going to do. Wait till he notices it in our bedroom!!
